Gas and Electric Furnaces

At Ferrelli Mechanical. we want to help you with gas and electric furnace repair, installation, replacement, maintenance, efficiency tune up, cleaning, safety inspection and more. Our job is to install, maintain, and repair your gas or electric furnace to leave you with warm home.

When planning your installation, our trained technicians can help you to decide the proper size and furnace for your type of home, with three main factors in mind. Comfort, efficiency, and longevity.

Conventional Warm Air Furnace

The conventional warm air furnace is the least efficient option. These furnaces have a standing pilot that cost you money to keep running even when the system is not set to heat your home. These furnaces are not created as safely as the newer models of furnaces. If you have one of these systems, please give us a call and we can come check for dangers such as carbon monoxide, as well as perform a full, proper inspection of your heat exchanger.

Standard Efficiency Induced Draft Furnace

Induced draft furnaces have an electronic ignition, either intermittent pilot or hot surface ignition instead of a traditional standing pilot. The induced draft furnace uses a small fan to pull the combustion gases into the flue. With the combination of electronic controls, electronic ignition and creating a draft increases the efficiency of the furnace from about 60% to 80% AFUE.

High Efficiency Condensing Furnace

This furnace gets it name by using a second heat exchanger, hot flue gases are cooled to the point where the water vapor condenses. This allows the furnace to extract even more heat from the combustion process. The high efficient furnace flue gases are cooled to the point where the water vapor condenses. This lets the furnace extract evne more heat from the combustion process. The high efficient furnace flue gases are not hot and can be vented to the outside with a pipe. The condensated water drains to the outside. These furnaces are high efficiency with an AFUE of up to 97% and use direct spark or hot surface ignition.

Gas Furnaces

Every model in our furnace families is designed to provide maximum heat for the absolute minimum fuel usage. The ultimate models even reduce temperature swings and short cycling. So you can rest easy and warmly.
